How to Login to Schoology as a Student
Follow these 5 steps exactly. Works on desktop, laptop, tablet, and phone.
Open the Schoology Student Login Page
Open any browser (Chrome is recommended) and go to app.schoology.com/login. You can also search “Schoology EPISD Student Login” — but avoid third-party sites and go directly to the official Schoology URL.

In the email field, type your EPISD-issued email in the format: firstname.lastname@episd.org. Some students may have a number suffix if their name is common (e.g., john.smith2@episd.org). If you’re unsure, ask your homeroom teacher.

Your default password is your Date of Birth in MMDDYYYY format (e.g., January 15, 2008 → 01152008). If you’ve changed it before, use your custom password. If you forgot it, see Step 5.

Skip the password entirely! On the login page, click “Log in with Google”. Select your @episd.org Google account from the popup. You’ll be logged in instantly — no password needed. This is the recommended method for all EPISD students.

Click “Forgot your password?” on the login page. Enter your EPISD email → check your inbox for a reset link (also check spam). If you can’t access your email either, ask your teacher or school IT office to reset your password from their admin panel — it takes them 2 minutes.

- If using Google SSO — make sure you’re signed into your @episd.org Google account, not a personal one.
- Your internet connection is stable. If on school Wi-Fi, make sure your device is connected to the correct network.

- Option 1 — Self Reset: Click “Forgot Password” on the login page, enter your EPISD email, and follow the reset link sent to your inbox.
- Option 2 — Google SSO: If you remember your EPISD Google password, just click “Log in with Google” instead — you won’t need your Schoology password.
- Option 3 — Teacher/IT Reset: Ask your teacher or school IT office to reset your account. They can set it back to the default (your date of birth) instantly.
- Make sure you’re using @episd.org, not @gmail.com or any other domain
- Check Caps Lock — passwords are case-sensitive
- Try the default password (MMDDYYYY) — you may have forgotten a custom password
- Clear browser cookies and cache, then try again

- Login → Click Courses in the top navigation
- Select the relevant course (e.g., “Math — Period 3”)
- Click on the assignment in the Materials or Upcoming section
- Click the “Submit Assignment” button
- Upload your file (PDF, Word, image) OR type directly in the text box
- Click “Submit” — you’ll see a green confirmation
- You can resubmit before the due date if you need to make changes
